A new cycle route will be created in the Scottish Borders. The path will connect Peebles, Cardrona and Innerleithen and is et to be launched in the start of 2013. Key growth points for tourism in Tweeddale and the Borders include mountain biking centres at Glentress and Innerleithen. Furthermore, Glentress is a designated pre-games training camp for the Olympics and it has been revealed that the European Downhill Cup will come to Innerleithen in June. So the new path is crucial to the region’s role in the future of cycling tourism in the Scottish Borders.
