Local ale is making a return to the Coquet Valley in Northumerland, with Coquetdale Brewery, owned by father and daughter Owen and Caroline Jackson of Rothbury, introducing new brews for ale fans. The firm was established in 2010 to bring back the centuries-old tradition of brewing in the valley. It now has three fantastic brews .

The Scottish Borders Brewery is celebrating its first anniversary with the production of more than 240,000 pints of ale. The brewery is Scotland’s only plough-to-pint microbrewery. It supplies more than 200 outlets throughout Scotland and the North of England. It produces five real ales, including recent released Holy Cow.
