Fans of classic cars will be excited to hear a classic car show is set to take place at Woodhorn near Ashington on July 8.
It will appeal to everyone who loves the old classics, especially those who remember the days when each make of car had a distinctive shape sound, and when Sunday mornings were dedicated to polishing chrome bumpers and trims.
Owners of a wide range of beautiful vintage and classic cars will head to the museum to show off their vehicles with pride and talk torque with fellow fans and enthusiastic admirers of these magnificent machines.
The event, organised in partnership with the North East Club for Pre War Austins, will see vehicles from the 1920s to 1980s parked close to the old pit head offering visitors the chance to capture some special photographs too.
“The car rallies are always a great hit with our visitors,” says Woodhorn’s Events and Exhibitions Officer, Liz Ritson. “Everyone really enjoys the chance to get up close to these lovely vehicles and to talk to the owners about their own experiences and memories.”
The cars will be at Woodhorn from 11am until 4pm.
