The town of Berwick could soon have new tourist information panels

Berwick-upon-Tweed’s townscape could soon feature six monoliths that will illustrate how to get to the town’s tourist attractions.

They will be located at Spittal, Tweedmouth, Berwick railway station, Castle-gate car park, Parade, and Marygate.

The structures will cost between £18,000 and £24,000, although as yet the design has not been finalised. They will include maps, routes, and other information that will help tourists.

The initiative is being driven by the Berwick’s Future group, which also hopes to introduce improved finger-post signage around the town.
