Northumberland Wildlife Trust will be celebrating Halloween at Bothal Woods

Northumberland Wildlife Trust will be hosting its ever popular Bothal Woods Hallowe’en Fun Run on October 30.

The event, which is guaranteed to be a spooky load of fun, starts at 10.30am.

The run, which is sponsored by Greggs, will follow an off-road (and often muddy) 5km course through the woods, beginning at Bothal bridge and ending in the town of Morpeth.

The aim of the event is to enjoy a fun and spooky route either running or walking (or flying on a broomstick), whilst raising money for the charity, whose work centres around protecting local wildlife habitats, whilst at the same time educating and inspiring everybody to care for their environment.

Entry to the event is £5, or free if you can raise a minimum of £15 sponsorship.

Full details are available from Lee Ford, event organiser. The entry form can be downloaded from www.nwt.org.uk or posted out by contacting Northumberland Wildlife Trust on 0191 284 6884 and returning to: Mr Lee Ford, Paramount Gymnasium, Glebe Road, Bedlington, Northumberland, NE22 6JT.

A hamper of local produce will be awarded for the best male and female Hallowe’en-themed fancy dress and all money raised will help fund the Trust’s valuable conservation work throughout the region.
