An Olympic torch journey section has been added Northumberland county council’s website.
It will help everyone in Northumberland including residents schools and businesses keep up-to-date on the Torch’s journey through the county.
Between June 14 and 16 the torch will be travel through Northumberland. It is anticipated thousands of people will to line the route and witness this once-in-a lifetime event.
The section has links to further subsections giving times of arrival, departure and best viewing places. The website also provides information about events inspired by the Olympics that are taking place around the county in the run up to and during the Games.

People who want to see the torch procession are strongly advised to give plenty of travel time for their journey. Get their early and chose your view point as soon as you can. If you are not going to see the torch and have to commute to and from work, or have other appointments to attend, consider planning an alternative route or leaving extra time for their journey.
