Kielder Winter Wonderland is back for another magical festive season

One of the North East of Englands most successful Christmas events is set to make a welcome return this Yuletide.

The Kielder Winter Wonderland is a magical experience for all the family set amongst some of Northumberland’s most spectacular scenery on the English-Scottish border.

It sees Leaplish Waterside Park, on the shores of Kielder Water, transformed into a winter wonderland full of surprises and attractions.

The first weekend will be November 19-20, and throughout the day-long experience visitors will meet woodland elves to guide them through the forest, some of Santa’s friends busying away for Christmas and even the main man himself.

The event has become one of the region’s most popular festive attractions and provides not just seasonal employment but gives a welcome boost to local accommodation providers.

Tickets for this year’s enchanting experience are available to book online or by telephone on 0845 155 1553 from 10am on October 11.

A day pass including all the activities, is priced at £28 per adult and £28 per child.  For children under the age of one the cost is £5. Tickets for the first weekend are available at £20 per adult and £20 per child.  A booking fee of £4.50 also applies.

To book a Kielder lodge package including Winter Wonderland tickets call the above number.  These must be booked together by telephone.
