Here is a listing of some of the exciting and interesting events that you can enjoy at Kielder Water and Forest Park, Northumberland from May 2013 to July 2013.

Every Saturday
SURVIVAL AND BUSHCRAFT COURSES
Learn the basics of outdoor survival; shelter building, fire starting, food prep and cooking and natural navigation. All courses are hands on – choose between an 8 hour or a 24 hour session. SUMMER IS A’COMING IN
An evening of folklore, storytelling and music at Kielder Castle (parental guidance for under 16s as there may be unsuitable language). Age 13+ (under 18s to be accompanied by an adult).

BADGER WATCH
Minibus trip into the forest to a view point over looking a badger set. Bring a torch and, if possible, binoculars. Not suitable for young children as we will have to wait quietly and patiently for the badgers to emerge.

THE BORDER RAID (2ND ROUND OF BIKE PLACE MARATHON SERIES)
Cycle from Kielder, across the Scottish border to Newcastleton and back in one continuous pre-marked loop of over 55kms. Age 18+.

KIELDER FOREST DRIVE CLASSIC CAR RUN
Celebrate the 40th anniversary of the opening of Britain’s longest and highest Forest Drive.

KIELDER CLASSIC AND VINTAGE VEHICLE SHOW
Vintage tractors, classic cars and motorbikes are the order of the day at the seventh annual show at Kielder Castle Visitor Centre.
