Donations for Hauxley Nature Reserve
It’s so great to read about the generosity of supporters of Hauxley Nature Reserve, which was destroyed by fire in 2010.
The arson attack left visitors and supporters devastated.
But now, Northumberland Wildlife Trust continues to be bowled over by the generosity of visitors to its Hauxley nature reserve. To date, £30,878 has been donated via its collection buckets on the site. This is heart-warming news, and even more appreciated given the current economic conditions.
In 2010, the wildlife charity’s visitor centre on the reserve (which is supported by players of the People’s Postcode Lottery) was burnt down in an arson attack, resulting in launch of the Hauxley Fire Fund.
