Green tourism logoA sustainable tourism group which will help organisations commit to a green agenda is being formed in Northumberland.

The group is being developed by Karen and Tom Hall of Hunting Hall, Lowick, Lesley Andrews, the Beangoose, Holy Island, and David Harris-Jones, a business consultant.

The first meeting will take place this evening (Friday, Nov. 11, 7.30pm) at Lowick Village Hall. The group hopes to create a forum where businesses can share ideas and experiences and eventually implement some energy-saving ideas.

Green holidays are becoming more popular but at the same time it can be expensive for smaller businesses to implement equipment or ideas without knowing how successful something will be. The group hopes that by sharing advice and ideas more businesses will embrace sustainable tourism.

For more information contact Karen on 01289 388652 or at info@huntinghall.co.uk.
