Anyone involved in tourism is encouraged to attend Coast and Country days out, which are supported by Northumberland National Park and the Coast AONB.

The next one is set for January 19 and is entitled Sounding at Ingram in the Breamish Valley and will feature archaeologist Chris Jones speaking on the history of the Cheviots.

Ranger Shaun Hackett will also give a presentation on the Cheviots. Other presenters are Jennifer Hewitson and Duncan Wise.

There will be a short walking tour in the Breamish Valley after lunch.

The event is at Ingram Village Hall and begins at 10am.

Coast and Country is a series of one-day events organised by Lesley Silvera.

The days help individuals learn more about what is on offer for tourists or people from the region. Attendees can learn about the landscape, geography and history, and also network and meet others who work in the tourism industry, or rely on visitors as part of their business.

To find out more contact Lesley Silvera on 07933 326711.
