Ad rates set at 2011 prices

This Is Northumberland has released its 2012 rate card, with ad costs being held at 2011 prices.

The decision reflects an awareness of difficult trading conditions for many businesses in the North of England, as well as a commitment to offer exceptional value to businesses in Northumberland, the Scottish Borders and Newcastle-Gateshead.

Advertisers can select from either flat rate fees or pay per click billing models.  The site can also provide ads for mobile platforms.

Co-editor Sheelagh Caygill said: “We are seeing upwards of 20% of users accessing content via smartphones and pad devices, and we can meet technical requirements for this growing audience.”

As well as low ad rates, the North’s online travel magazine gives all advertisers free social media support and preferential editorial treatment.

The site’s page impressions are growing steadily, with the magazine-style format proving popular with businesses and readers alike. It is expected to surpass the 20,000 unique user figure by the end of February, 40,000 by May-June, and 60,000 by the end of the year.
