What’s your favourite Northumberland beauty spot?:I have a few favourites, Seahouses, Alnwick, Berwick, my favourite being Alnwick, it’s a beautiful place.
Tell us about your favourite view/walk/cycle route/town/nightspot?: The Hairy Lemon pub in Alnwick, great name, food and atmosphere.
The list of places to visit is endless. But some are more special than others. A trip to Northumberland/the Borders wouldn’t be complete without . . .: Seahouses
Why is locally produced Northumbrian/Borders food the best?: The freshness and taste really shines through.
Do you have a preferred place to eat out in the county and why?: Not really, just a nice place on the grass for a picnic is great.
Northumbrians and people from The Scottish Borders are renowned for the warm welcome they offer holidaymakers and day trippers alike. What do you think is the secret ingredient for this friendliness?: I think because they live in a great relaxed area and that comes across quite well.
Coast or country, and specifically which part?: Coast, I’ve been brought up to love the sea, so anywhere near it is great!
Your favourite market town and why?: Berwick, lots of great little shops to hunt around in.
Your favourite historical site?: Bamburgh Castle is so historic and amazing, a must see!
And the best road to take a leisurely and scenic drive along?: Those around Kielder Water.
What would be your perfect day out in Northumberland and The Scottish Borders? A day out shopping in Berwick finished off with and fish and chips at Seahouses.
