Olympic Torch carried by Stephen Parsons passes through Morpeth, Northumberland
Thousands of people came to the centre of Morpeth, Northumberland in the North East of England today to cheer the London 2012 Olympic Flame on its journey to London.
Stephen Parsons carried the flame for most of the route through the town and received a roaring welcome despite heavy rain. The flame has made its way from Scotland through the county and will arrive in Newcastle upon Tyne this evening.
