Northumberland Autumn colours: Dazzling display makes
The leaves are almost gone from the trees here in Northumberland. But the colours this autumn have been dazzling. Russet tones, yellows and golden hues that have made this season a delight. The beeches, birch and aspen have been particularly vibrant this year.
Saturday night brought a heavy frost to Morpeth and surrounding area, and the result on Sunday morning was a magical rain of leaves falling steadily and quietly in woodlands around the county. These photos were taken in and around Carisle Park, Morpeth.
