This fantastic prize is for two people to win a superb Northumberland break in the medieval market town of Alnwick. The prize includes a two-night stay at The Hog’s Head Inn, a brand new AA three star Highly Commended inn on the edge of the town.
Named after the tavern in Harry Potter books, The Hog’s Head Inn is just a short drive from Alnwick Castle – or Hogwarts in the film productions of JK Rowling’s tales of the boy wizard and his friends – and The Alnwick Garden, the world’s most extraordinary contemporary garden.
Make time to explore the market town of Alnwick’s many quirky independent shops such as Barter Books, one of Europe’s largest antiquarian and second-hand bookshops, housed in a converted railway station.
The rugged but impressively beautiful Northumberland coast is just a short drive away. There, stroll along miles of beaches or why not call into the lively seaside town of Seahouses for fish and chips.
Included in the prize is an evening meal each night at The Hog’s Head Inn with accommodation in a double or twin room plus a hearty Northumberland breakfast each morning.
If you are not the lucky winner, you can still enjoy a stay at The Hog’s Head Inn at special winter break rates of just £44.50 per person, per night including dinner, bed and breakfast or for three nights dinner, bed and breakfast for just £119.50 per person. Winter break rates run from January 6 until March 31. Discover more: www.hogsheadinnalnwick.co.uk.
