Set on a private estate in the heart of north Northumberland’s rolling hills Doxford can trace its history back to at least the 13 century. The current Georgian house dates to 1818, however, and after a chequered history opened as a luxurious hotel in 2008.
Since then it has won many accolades, including Small Hotel of the Year in the 2011 North East England Tourism Awards.
