If you’d like to see a new take on maps and map-making, make a trip to Queen’s Hall, Hexham, Northumberland and see a beautifully embroidered map of Northumberland National Park – created by more than 100 stitchers at five different workshops. It’s truly a visual treat.
The unusual and wet winter weather is having a strange effect on wildlife across Northumberland, with a mixed pattern of behaviour amongst birds. The Hertz office at Newcastle Airport and the Newcastle Van Supersite are to be revamped in 2014, along with many others across Europe and the world. The will be part of a worldwide remodelling operation that has seen flagship stores at Paris Saint Ferdinand and Frankfurt Airport in Europe, as well Hertz’s UK flagship store at Marble Arch in London.
